Expenses - Scholarships

Tuition Fees & Free Policy
Public high schools in Finland offer free tuition for regular students (including international students in many cases). Bachelor's / Master's taught in English: 5,000 – 18,000 EUR/year (depending on university and major). Doctoral level (PhD): usually tuition-free for both EU and non-EU students.
Living & Other Expenses
Living expenses: ~ 700 – 1,000 EUR/month, depending on the city (Helsinki is higher). Visa & residence permit: ~ 350 EUR (first application). Student union fee: ~ 50 EUR/year. Health insurance: ~ 300 EUR/year.
Scholarships & Financial Aid

Study Abroad Requirements and Visa

  • Achieved Finnish language proficiency level B1.1 or higher (for Finnish-taught programs).
